Here you will find some of the biblical reasons for why we worship the way we do.

WHY DO WE WORSHIP GOD ?
You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. ( Matt. 4:10b)

HOW SHOULD WE WORSHIP GOD ?
But the hour is coming ,and is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. ( John 4:23)

WHY DO WE STAND TO SING?
And the Levites.... stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high. (2 Chr. 20:19)

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS ?
Oh, clap your hands, all you people ! SHOUT to God with a voice of triumph. ( Psalm 47:1)

WHY DO WE SING CHORUSES ?
And do not be drunk with wine in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord. (Eph. 5 : 18,19))

WHY DO WE SING AND SPEAK IN TONGUES ?
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the result then ? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. (1 Cor. 14:14,15)
 
WHY DO WE SING AND SPEAK IN TONGUES ?
If any one speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 1 Cor. 14:27)

WHY DO WE RECEiVE TITHES AND OFFERINGS?
Will a man rob God ? Yet you have robbed me ! But you say, in what way have we robbed you ? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, because you have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now in this says the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Mal. 3:8-10)

WHY DO WE DANCE IN CHURCH ?
Let them praise His name with the dance. ( Psalms 149:3)
Praise Him with the timbre! and dance. ( Psalms 150:4)
He entered the temple with them walking, leaping and praising God. Acts 3:8b)
Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice* with inexpressible and glorious joy (1 Pet. 1:8b)

WHAT IS PROPHECY AND WHY DO WE PROPHESY ?
But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. (1 Cor. 14:3)
 
WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS A PART OF THE WORSHIP SERVICE ?
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet. Praise Him with the lute and the harp ! Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes ! Praise Him with loud cymbals. Praise Him with high sounding cymbals. ( Psalm 150:3-5)

WHY DO WE STUDY GOD'S WORD ?
Like newborn babes, long for the pure spiritual milk, so   that by it you may grow up in your salvation. (1 Pet. 2:2)
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,  a workman who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of God. (2 Tim. 2:15)
